Progressive overload. This workout is designed to improve strength and functionality not muscle tone or aesthetics. Make sure to set your MAX 1 repetition as your baseline for each exercise. Then follow the percentage accordingly. Short interval training for cardio because powerlifting muscle are specialized in short and strong burst movements. This is a 12 week program.

Intensive Cardiovascular Training Workout
These exercises are designed to build strength and at the same time doing cardio. This is perfect for long distance runners since they do not need to get more muscle mass (would slow them down and take too much oxygen). But instead they are building muscle endurance by exercising the same muscle a longer period of time.
