Most workout apps have a drawn-out and complicated list of exercises for your to do yourself, without knowing the reason behind the workout methods and obscure health information. Our app interface is made to be simple and convenient; the easy tap or two on the buttons of the home page of the app can give you the health regime that you can follow to start your healthy lifestyle.
Why HealthNut? The origin of the app's name is from the humble nut; the world's best food or snack to turn to for a heart-healthy diet. They are inexpensive, and easy to store and pack when you are on the go. There are many types of nuts--walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, and more--that benefit the body in different types of ways as well as many components and substances that are all natural power-ups for your body. We applied the same principle to our app; an inexpensive app that is easily accessible on your phone and easy to use while you work out or when you are bored and just want to read tidbits of health information to benefit your body. As with the many types of nuts, there are many ways to develop the body as well, which is what your app includes. As you eat more nuts everyday, it can benefit you; the same goes to using our app everyday as a health routine--the routines are as simple as eating a handful of nuts! With the healthiness of the nut and the concept of simplicity of our app, the app name HealthNut was able to be made.
Revolutionizing Phone Functions What puts our app apart from the other health apps include the fact that our app programmers and creators made new features that most other apps don't have; we use the built-in features of the everyday smartphone to give you the best and most individualized health regime that we can:
Camera: We programmed the app to be able to calculate body fat amount and muscle quantity as well; just snap a picture of that body part and the app can show our trainers and dieticians the information to be able to create the most effective workout and diet for you.
Motion Sensor: Also known as the gyro sensor, not only can it be used for DoodleJump, but for our app, you can put your phone on your chest or hold it while doing sit-ups, push-ups, and other exercises while the app figures out the rigor in which you exercise and how much more you need based on the fatigue that your body is feeling.
Microphone: This can pick up breathing patterns as you exercise; when a person is low on stamina, their breaths become shorter and more intense quicker, demonstrating the need for, let's say, more cardio exercises. By having this feature available, our health experts can plan out the workout that you need in order to get your body into the shape you want it to be!
With the new information we receive from our database, features on our app are updated on a regular basis to make the best plans for your fitness goals.
Professional trainers continue to give advice and tips on how your exercise routines should be carried out with the most effective methods.
Our nutritionists and dieticians can give you the reasons and science behind how we choose our fitness and nutrition routines.
